phpbb is my favorite, it's also the only one I've tried, I liked it so I stuck with it.

I use vbulletin. I think its the best forum software because it is the easiest to use and has the most functions.

But compared to IPB, I think vb is definatly much more worth for its price.

vBulletin (like SMF) have a very good security experience. phpBB / IPB had some problems some time ago. This was for me a very good point to choose my forum software.

Vb is cheap, only $120 for a lifetime license. I just prefer phpbb. I would like to get Vb just for the purpose of writing some MODs to work with some of my sites but I don't wan't to actually use it for a forum.

I can't remember. I'll find out though. As for functions, my phpbb board has everything that Vb has, I just had to install the MODs myself, some I had to write myself but it has them.

I agree with that, Vb is my favorite type of board to "post" on as well.

I've been using InvisionFree for almost 2 years now. It's been quite simple to use, and I have had no problems with it.
