What wiki software do you recommend ?

O want to start a wiki project and ai don't know what wiki software to use ...

It is obvious decision. Just go with the one that has proven itself. It is the biggest and I think most user-friendly. 
Make a wiki that says powered by : http://www.mediawiki.org/   Cheesy

To be honest, I don't know... Never used a wiki.
But that mediawiki indeed seems to be nice!

I really don't see any other option. Mediawiki has proven to be good with maintaining and handling big traffic which wikipedia has. It is also very well organized and friendly to use. So for me If I needed wiki there would really be no other choice.
