Hmmm.....but there are way more powerful script out there than wordpress to act as a base for your CMS. Joomla comes into mind. Not to put down Wordpress or anything, in fact I am using Wordpress as my blog, but I think it is really too specialized and thus not as easy to modify into a CMS than others.

I dont like Joomla myself.
most of the code is bloated and its not a very clean or sleek system.
