I am planning to do this because of the SEO advantage it gives.

Waiting for the final version before setting this up.
Hope it will be problem free and what I am afraid is the user passwords. I think it wont be converted and users need to reactivate.

Well, I am afraid of duplicate content problem first.
Once I switch, there will be two, one from the old smf and the other from the new XennoBB.

But darksat, my old domain had a lot of pages indexed and yet, after changing my site completely, they still have the old pages indexed.
